The Foundation Groom Training Course

The Foundation Groom Training Course in Deauville is designed for individuals with little or no prior experience. Over 10–16 weeks, students develop strong core skills in horse care, stable management, safety, and basic competition preparation.

Foundation Course - Core Modules

  • Horse handling, safety, and stable routines

  • Feeding and basic equine nutrition

  • Introductory grooming and show preparation

  • Tack basics, bandaging, and first aid

  • Yard etiquette, language support (English/French)

The Professional Groom Training Course

The Professional Groom Course is designed for students with 2–3 level experience aiming for elite 5* level grooming careers. This 8–12 week program prepares students for international competitions, high-performance sport environments, and advanced professional responsibilities.

Professional Course - Core Modules

  • Elite grooming and show presentation

  • FEI rules, clean sport, and international protocols

  • Injury care, clipping, and performance tack fitting

  • Competition logistics and packing systems

  • International horse travel and documentation

  • Owner/rider communication and professionalism

Horse Transport & HGV Licensing Pathway (both)

  • Safe loading, unloading, and travel preparation

  • Horsebox checks, maintenance, and breakdown protocols

  • National and international live-animal transport regulation

  • Tachographs, driver hours, and planning long journeys

  • Step-by-step guidance towards HGV Category C/C1 licensing
